Satin is only on one side other side is not presentable
and scratchy impossible to sleep comfortably with.
I like the satin side though. It's silky and shiny (but not overly so) and nice looking. But it was weird because for the flat sheet I had to put the satin side down so that that was what I'd feel and that that was what would show when I turned the bed down. The other side is just not presentable.
Also be aware it's 100% polyester satin is the term used for how it's stitched. I knew this going in as I like the feel of polyester satin.
I got these in black and silver and I'm going to keep them because of the good price but I wouldn't have bought these if I'd known about the one-sided issue.
Oh it does fit my thick pillow-top mattress.More detail ...
